About LaTonia Allen

Growing up in West Phoenix, Arizona my art career started simply with drawing my favorite cartoon characters into a notebook.  In high school I realized the potential in my talent and joined NJAHS (National Junior Arts Honor Society), Art Club and Art Society. I then attended Glendale Community College where I graduated with my Associate in Arts studying art history and the human figure. In 2012, I moved to Houston, TX where I  attended Texas Southern University. In 2015 I earned a Bachelor of Art in Arts with a minor in Business Administration. While there I was a member of the University Art Club, as well as American Marketing Association in the Jesse H. Jones School of Business. I took a keen interest in graphic arts and design. After researching the industry, I decided I wanted to be an Art Director.  I obtained and completed two digital marketing internships and two graphic design internships, which assured me this was what I wanted to do.

My goal as an artist is to evoke an emotion in everyone that views my work. I try to accomplish this in both my fine art and digital work through vibrant use of color and invigorating new concepts.

I genuinely love my work and I plan to continue spreading positivity and warm energy in those around me and in the world.
